Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was Brazil for the inauguration of Dilma Rousseff, the country's first female president when she ran into Hugo Chavez, the president of Venezuela. Venezuela and the U.S. are not getting along at all right now. In fact we just rejected each other's new ambassadors, so relations are quite chilly. But Hillary handled the awkward encounter just fine, shaking his hand and having a brief discussion with him. Chavez told reports she smiled at him and was pleasant. Take a look:
