On How Martin Luther King's "I Have a Dream Speech" Was Composed

Via Andrew Hazlett's Twitter feed, Nick Gillespie posts the story of how Martin Luther King, Jr. finished his spectacular "I Have a Dream Speech" in the wee hours of the day he delivered it on August 28, 1963 ... and how it was not your typical all-nighter, for sure.

Like James Joyner, I have also always thought of King's speech as an original work, sprung upon a large audience for the first time on the day it was delivered. However, in fact, it was more of a political stump speech, crafted and polished over months and years of delivery.
