The Pittsburgh Steelers will meet the Green Bay Packers in Dallas forSuper Bowl XLVon Feb. 6. The Steelers defeated the New York Jets, 24-19, in the AFC Championship game while the Packers topped the Chicago Bears, 21-14, in the NFC Championship game.
Steelers vs. Packers is an outstanding matchup if you ask me. Of the NFL's final four teams, I think you could make a strong argument that this is the best possible matchup.
Both have excellent quarterbacks in Ben Roethilsberger and Aaron Rodgers. Both have excellent defenses with the Steelers as the top ranked defense and the Packers the second ranked defense. The Steelers have the 12th ranked offense and the Packers have the 10th ranked offense.
The Packers are the early favorites at 2.5 points which is the closest Super Bowl line in 27 years.
The Chiefs will play both of these teams in 2011 so we'll be scouting the game for the start of next season. It's hard to see how either of these teams would suffer from the supposed Super Bowl hangover next season.
