Four Americans are murdered by Somali pirates and President Obama can't even issue a statement?

President Obama, four Americans were murdered! Act like you care!

MSNBC, act like you’re actually a news network and report it!

If you go to WhiteHouse.gov, you’d never know that four Americans were murdered in the Indian Ocean by Somali pirates. There’s not one word of regret from the President who’s supposed to protect us. The White House had all day to issue a paragraph, or anything at all. You will find on the White House blog:

Four American hostages were murdered by Somali pirates yesterday, despite the best efforts of the US Navy to save their lives.

It was a tragic end to a four-day crisis.

Scott and Jean Adam, retirees from California, were taken hostage last Friday with friends from Seattle as they sailed to Djibouti on a yacht packed with Bibles.
(…)
What a pity that the Navy SEAL rescue teams managed only to dispatch two of the brigands — leaving the task of dealing with the 13 survivors to the US justice system.
(…)
Again, the Navy SEALs should’ve kept firing until all 13 surviving pirates were fish food.

Or saved the bullets and marched them off a jerry-rigged plank.

Piracy has to be dealt with ruthlessly — and the sooner Somali pirates realize that kidnapping Americans is a guaranteed death warrant, the sooner the piracy will come to an end.

We took 13 hostages? What are we going to have, 13 trials? Thirteen people sent to U.S. jails for the next 70 years, costing the U.S. taxpayer $100,000 per person per year? And then their court-appointed lawyer is going to complain about hot Halal meals? Wonderful!

Mark Levin sang “Kumbaya,” arguing between the lyrics that these pirates should have been shot dead.

President Obama has nothing to say? Really?

This is a president that calls the Super Bowl winner and congratulates millionaire football players for winning a football game. But if you’re kidnaped and murdered, our president doesn’t give a damn!

This is an embarrassing incident, so it wasn’t reported on MSNBC. Not on HARDBALL with Chris Matthews, not on THE LAST WORD with Lawrence O’Donnell, not on THE RACHEL MADDOW SHOW, and not on THE ED SHOW. These shows had time to criticize Sarah Palin and Glenn Beck, but not a single word about Americans dying under Obama’s watch.

A check at The Huffington Post and I can’t find the story there, either.

Let’s go to the web page of the U.S. Department of State, where Hillary Clinton is Secretary of State. Hillary Clinton, as Chris Matthews tells us, is married to the ‘President of the World.” Surely, she cares and has something to say about the murder of four Americans by Somali pirates.

Here’s DipNote, the official U.S. Department of State blog:

Not worthy of a single blog post!

I do see a statement in the upper right hand corner, which is more attention that our president has given the matter:

Pirate Attack on the S/V QUEST
Press Statement
Hillary Rodham Clinton
Secretary of State
Washington, DC
February 22, 2011
——————————————————————————–
The United States strongly condemns the murder of four U.S. citizens, whose yacht, the QUEST, was seized by pirates off the coast of Oman. This deplorable act firmly underscores the need for continued international progress toward confronting the shared security challenge posed by piracy in the waters off the Horn of Africa.

Our deepest sympathies go out to the victims families at this time. We will honor their memory by continuing to strengthen international partnerships in order to bring these maritime criminals to justice.

The United States encourages those members of the international community concerned about stability in Somalia and piracy to contribute to AMISOM by providing material, financial, and logistical support. The United States also encourages additional African contributions to the AMISOM peacekeeping force.

The U.S. Deparment of State, if they really cared about four murdered Americans, could have MENTIONED THEIR NAMES!

AMISOM? From Wikipedia:

The African Union Mission in Somalia (AMISOM) is an active, regional peacekeeping mission operated by the African Union with the approval of the United Nations in Somalia. AMISOM is mandated to support transitional governmental structures, implement a national security plan, train the Somali security forces, and to assist in creating a secure environment for the delivery of humanitarian aid.

Four Americans are murdered, so this is a job for…the United Nations?

SUMMARY
We have four dead Americans and THIRTEEN HOSTAGES. This sends a great message. Kill your American hostages, then throw up your hands and you’ll get a free lawyer, free food, and free housing for the rest of your life.

Terrorists need to be shown no mercy. Certainly, they showed no mercy to us.

This should be a scandal, from the President’s non-statement to the Secretary of State to the liberal news networks that didn’t report this, but this will be forgotten tomorrow.

If the House Republicans want to investigate something, why don’t they investigate the murder of four Americans? Did our Department of State do ANYTHING to prevent these murders from happening?
