"Auburn vs. Oregon BCS Championship Game: LIVE UPDATES" and related posts

The 2011 BCS Championship game between the Auburn Tigers and Oregon Ducks is being played tonight in Glenadale, Ariz. Both teams had perfect 12-0 seasons and both are making their BCS title game debuts.
The No. 1 ranked Tigers are led by Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Cam Newton and head coach Gene Chizik. Oregon, led by running back LaMichael James, averaged 49.3 points per game this year. Both squads won their conferences and each has a very high-scoring offense.

Cam Newton took a knee to knock off eight more seconds. With two seconds remaining, the Tigers will attempt a game-winning field goal.

The refs ruled that he was down before the goal line. It will be first-and-goal at the half-yard-line.

Michael Dyer completed the amazing drive by running up the middle and getting dragged into the end zone. The ruling on the field is a touchdown, but the play is under review. Dyer's knee appears to be down before he got in. 10 seconds left in the game.
