-- On February 10, New York's Carnegie Hall will host a massive Neil Young tribute show. The lineup includes Patti Smith, J Mascis, the Roots, Aimee Mann, Bettye LaVette, DeVotchKa, Antibalas, and others, and the show raises money for music education programs for underprivileged kids.
-- British post-punkers Stricken City are calling it quits. They'll play their final show at the London venue the Drop on February 10. But they're not going away quietly; their new album, Losing Colour, arrives February 7, and you can hear some tracks from the LP at this SoundCloud page.
-- On February 1, Ernest Jenning Recording Co. will release Neu Ideas, a collection from San Francisco indie-poppers Still Flyin'. It collects two 7" singles and a 12", as well as reworkings from Love Is All, Papercuts, the Hood Internet, Signals, and others.
-- Toronto's Wavelength music series celebrates its 11th anniversary February 16-20 with a festival called Eleven. The lineup features Simply Saucer, Lullabye Arkestra and friends, Woodhands, Little Girls, Grimes, and others.
